Scene Redesign Through Music Supervision
For a music publishing course, Charmaine stepped into the role of Music Supervisor for a mock licensing project centered on the 2012 film The Perks of Being a Wallflower, directed by Stephen Chbosky. Tasked with replacing the film’s iconic final tunnel scene track (“Heroes” by David Bowie), she selected “Do Not Wait” by Wallows to reimagine the emotional tone while maintaining narrative impact. This creative choice showcased her ability to reinterpret source material with both strategic and emotional intent — skills that reflect her strengths as a marketer, designer, and storyteller who understands how music shapes audience experience.
